8350 Broad St #600, McLean, VA 22102 (KPMG's Tysons Corner Office) is a 5 minute walk away from Greensboro Metro Station (Silver Line). Parking is available under the building (8350 Broad St) ($13/day). Metered street parking is also available.
Will there be food?
We will provide a light continental breakfast with coffee and tea. Lunch will be served with water and soft drinks. Join us for the post-conference social at El Bebe. First round of drinks and an entrée selection from a special IAG menu will be on us!

Robert Yoon
Keynote
Reporter, Associated Press
Robert Yoon is an Elections and Democracy reporter at the Associated Press now covering his seventh presidential campaign cycle. As Director of Political Research at CNN, he received two Emmy Awards and a Peabody Award for his contributions to the network’s election coverage. He has prepared a dozen moderators for more than 30 presidential debates, most recently for CBS News in 2020.
At the University of Michigan, he served as a lecturer in the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy, as the Howard R. Marsh Visiting Professor of Journalism, and as the Associate Director of the Wallace House Center for Journalists.

Tina Cooper is the CEO & Founder of Lumenerva, whose mission is to help leaders build meaningful relationships and solve problems. Tina is a consultant, trainer, and facilitator who enjoys using her industrial engineering background to help organizations make the most of limited resources and bring people, technology, and processes into harmony. This drives her passion to help clients hone the leadership and communications skills they’ll need to achieve their goals at work and in life. Tina has fueled this passion by becoming a seasoned facilitator with experience leading executive level strategy sessions and teaching courses on topics ranging from handling conflicts to understanding statistics.

In August 2023, Tina became the President of the Greater Washington Chapter of Ascend after years of serving on the executive board. She was also featured in the 2021 Women Leaders in Consulting Magazine as a Diversity Champion. Tina attended the Georgia Institute of Technology, earning her bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, and her master’s in industrial engineering with a specialization in human integrated systems.

Comedy Performance

Justin Um is an American-born Korean with a natural ability to connect and engage with various audiences through his unwavering happiness. He describes his style of clean comedy as "empathetic humor", which is exhibited by his love and genuine affection for people. Justin focuses on sharing his unique experiences as a second-generation immigrant through his insightful perspective, self-deprecating honesty, and positive crowd interactions.
2023 Inspiring Across Generations (IAG) Awards
The Ascend GW IAG Awards identify and recognize dedicated organizations, hard-working students, and inspirational professionals who have dedicated themselves to promoting Pan-Asian leadership and development in business and within the community.
There are five (5) award categories: Inspirational Leader, High Impact Leader, Rising Leader, Ascend Student Leader, and Corporate Partner.
Award Eligibility Requirements
Any individual or organization was eligible to apply, regardless of industry or Ascend membership status; there is only one entry per individual or organization. Beyond the significant achievement of—or potential for—professional success, nominees should demonstrate engagement in the Pan-Asian community and volunteerism through mentoring, leadership development, and board service. To view awards descriptions and criteria, please refer to the IAG Award Descriptions guide. The deadline to submit nominations closed on Friday, October 20, 2023.
