Join us for the 2nd Annual Ascend | Pratham Charity Golf Scramble! Sign up as a single golfer or secure a discount by signing up as a foursome. There are also corporate sponsorship opportunities! Your support will benefit the full lifecycle of an under-privileged and under-represented community. From providing educational resources for at-risk Indian youth to enabling long-term professional success for Pan Asian young adults and professionals, this could be the upswing all of these communities need to take control and drive a more equitable life for themselves. Ascend GW Community Engagements
For June's Foodie Tour, Ascend GW Members were treated to a customized multi-course dinner by Purple Patch DC's owner and chef Patrice Cleary. Foodie Tours connect Ascend GW with community restaurant partners and fosters Ascend's networking mission by bringing our members together. Be on the lookout for our Purple Patch Foodie Tour video, coming out soon!
Ascend GW ventured north to Baltimore in mid-July to forge new relationships with AAPIs in companies like McCormick, Under Armour, T. Rowe Price, BD, and Stanley Black & Decker. AscendGW hosted our guests and potential new members at an amazing venue, Little Havana. The food was spectacular! We look forward to future outings to Baltimore to strengthen our network.

The Ascend GW Board dedicated a weekend to strategize and map programming for the next year. We are working hard to deliver experiences that will enhance the membership experience, collaborate and forge strong relationships with corporate and community partners, and provide value to our community. Community Partner Events: AASuccess
The AASuccess Mental Health Conference allowed the community to gain a unique perspective of social and emotional pressures faced by teens and youths in the DMV. The conference allowed the youth to share compassion, a sense of acceptance, and to express their mental health issues. Guests engaged with the students in breakout sessions to listen and provide lessons learned. Look for future opportunities for mentorship to empower the AAPI Youth.
Consider joining or volunteering for the 2022 AASuccess Gala. This year's theme is for DMV-based youth to Dare to Dream Big.
